A neurodevelopmental program, to address any irregularities in how the brain receives information from the body and the senses. The initial program runs over a period of six months.
– Information is gathered using questionnaires, in depth interview of client (and family, as needed), observation of task completion in a structured assessment when possible, and optional short videos of everyday activities provided by the client/family.
– The information gathered allows us to understand and explain why some things may be challenging. This understanding is shared with the client and, if applicable, the supporting people (e.g., parents, caregivers). It is also available in a report.
– We design an individual action plan: a short program of exercises to do at home on a daily basis.
– The home program is adapted to the client’s needs and preferences: exercises that are done independently or with other people’s help, with or without equipment. The length of the daily home program is adapted to what the client (and family) are comfortable taking on.
– The program is modified in follow-up sessions, as needed.
– Altogether, we meet the client eight times over a period of six months. If the clients wishes to extend the program they can arrange for more sessions for a fee.
